Orange/Grapefruit Juicer |
These juicers are similar to the USA Sunkist reamers |
They are, I believe, N329 in Mary Walker's "And Many More Reamers" |
They measure approximately 5⅞" diameter. This varies a little as does the thickness of the glass. |
All images below are of the Crown Crystal (Australia) grapefruit juicer. |
The handle has a hole that becomes smaller towards the middle ('v'-shaped) |
The end of the handle is pointed, ie 'v'-shaped |
The top of the pouring spout is the same level as the rest of the rim. |
This juicer exists in clear, green and uranium green glass. I also have two very rare blue specimens. |

Orange/Grapefruit Juicer |
These juicers are similar to the Anchor Hocking Glass Company reamers |
The Australian version is N-355 and the Anchor Hocking version isN-354 in Mary Walker's "And Many More Reamers" |
The Australian version measure 154 mm -158 mm (approximately 6¼") diameter. This varies a little as does the thickness of the glass. |
Both juicers have the 4 sets of vertical rib lines. |
The Australian version has a tear drop handle. |
The Anchor Hocking version has a loop handle with a flattened top. |

1 pint Pitcher/Jug Juicer |
These juicers are very similar to many USA made juicers. |
The quickest way to spot the different types is by looking at the conversion between pints and ounces. |
The jug has Australian liquid measurements which include 1 pint = 20 ounces instead of the US measurements which include 1 pint = 16 ounces. |
The measurements are listed horizonatlly reversed. See below. |
The juicer insert (reamer) is distincive when compared to the many manufactured in the USA, although similar to some U.S. Glass Company reamers. |
While the Australian juicer insert is different to the USA juicer insert it is very similar to the Handy Andy reamer made by U.S. Glass Company. The Handy Andy insert sits on a simialar measure |
This juicer exists in clear, green and uranium green. The U.S. Glass Company version was also made in turquoise and pink. Similar measures were ade without embossed measurements. |
Similar measures (jug) were made without embossed measurements. |
